Phases

School Phases

Shakhsiyah Schools offer a comprehensive educational journey that spans from the early years to high school 3-16 years. We operate on the Islamic guidance:

Play with your children for seven years, discipline them for seven years and be their companion for seven years.

Our school phases are therefore

Age 3-7 years – Early Years and Infants

Age 7-14 years – Junior and Middle School

Age 7-14 years – Junior and Middle School

Each phase uses the Principles of Shakhsiyah Education in an age appropriate manner to nurture strong shakhsiyah Islamiyah, that is well-rounded, self-aware Muslims who are ready to contribute to their communities and societies.

Early Years and Infants School

In the Early Years and Infants phase, we build unique personal relationships with each child, orienting them towards Allah (swt). This phase focuses on nurturing their cognitive, language, and numeric capabilities while fostering critical thinking. Teachers carefully assess their own educational methodologies, and reflect on their roles as murabbi, mu’allim, and mu’addib, all while considering the individual needs, backgrounds, and aspirations of each child and their family. Our indoor and outdoor environments are designed to foster holistic development, nurturing their shakhsiyah Islamiyah. The emphasis here is on building a strong foundation for their journey.

Junior and Middle School

In our Junior and Middle School phase, the ethos of building unique personal relationships with learners continues. Our educators are deeply involved in introspective assessment and reflection, guiding children toward their full potential with a clear focus on ādab, which for us is much more than good manners. It is understanding our own individual place in relation to others, to ourselves and to Allah  (swt). The focus here is on developing knowledge and understanding of the world, self-awareness as to our place in it, and emotional and social skills as to how to relate to the world and people within it. The educational approach remains deeply rooted in Islamic character and personality development, and is driven by the Shakhsiyah Education principles.

High School

The High School phase is our new GCSE programme launching in September 2024. We still carry forward the ethos of nurturing learners on their journey to discover their unique purpose in the dunya. Here, we support learners to reach for their full potential, both academically and in terms of character development. Our curriculum reinforces the specific methodologies of each ‘discipline’ or subject they take, enabling them to appreciate the layers of knowledge that Allah (swt)  has enabled human beings to access. We focus on personal character development, spiritual intelligence, critical thinking, as well as physical growth and development. The principles of Shakhsiyah Education remain the foundation of our holistic approach, preparing learners for success and self-discovery.
